The SXSW 2013 premiere party for the SXSW film Burma took place with star Christopher Abbott in attendance.

The Girls regular was camera shy, but I managed to snap one pic.

Also on site was Girls co-star Alex Karpovsky as well as Newsroom cast member John Gallagher, Jr.

The party, organized by Austin startup Jellifi, was a calm and chill gathering. Considering the usual madness that surrounds SXSW, it was a pleasant surprise.

The Burma plot revolves around a family reunion where Abbott’s character’s estranged father shows up asking for help. Reluctantly, he ushers him into a hostile family setting, but his grief-fueled drug addiction sends an already tense family dynamic reeling.
