The Austin Film Fest Film and Food Gala went down tonight at the Driskill with special guests Alexis Bledel and writer/director Ryan Piers Williams (who also happens to be married to America Ferrera).
I snapped a pic with Alexis and chatted with the Houston native about her roles in Sin City, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and Post-Grad.
I mentioned that I had just read Sisterhood Everlasting and was not pleased with the storyline. She assured me that the girls would not be reprising their film roles for that story, saying that she didn’t understand why author Ann Brashares had to go there.
Of the many many tasty treats on hand, my faves came from Eddie V’s, Parkside, the Frito Pie from Ranch 616 and the Red Velvet cupcake from Polka Dots.
Looking forward to Austin Film Festival opening films Butter and Marcy May Martha Marlene tomorrow night.
And, of course, Johnny Depp and James Franco this weekend!
