Hall and Oates are still rocking after all these years… and still making fans dreams come true.
It’s no surprise that Billboard magazine named them the most successful duo of the rock era, as nearly every song performed on tour will have you singing along.
When they stopped by the HEB Center in Cedar Park on Friday night, the crowd was packed with adoring fans who did just that, including yours truly.
Here are the top 10 moments from the Daryl Hall & John Oates tour stop in Central Texas.
10 – St. Paul and the Broken Bones
If the crowd didn’t know of opening band St. Paul and the Broken Bones before, they sure as hell do now. I only wish I had video footage of their performance of Pocket Change, but I was too busy screaming and applauding to record it.
I did, however, get some video of their final song, a cover of Otis Redding’s Try A Little Tenderness. To quote the gentleman in front of me hollering at the stage, “You go, white boy!”
9 – Maneater
I’m definitely a little biased here as Maneater was my favorite song in my youth. Apologies that I don’t have video of the stellar Pacman dance I choreographed to the tune.
8 – The Youthful Crowd
Speaking of MY youth, I was pleasantly surprised by the mix of ages rocking out at this show. A friend informed me that I would bring down the average age by a decade or two. So not true. I was shocked to see so many fans decades younger than myself amidst the crowd.
7 – Your Kiss Is On My List
Because your kiss, your kiss, I can’t resist.
6 – The Sexy Sax Man
Everybody loves a sexy sax man, right? And these tunes just wouldn’t be the same without him.

Hold on to your panties, ladies… he also plays the oh, so sexy jazz flute.
5 – All the Hair
Between the sax player and the main men, there was no shortage of lovely locks on that stage.
4 – You Make My Dreams
Well, well, you…
3 – This Couple Who Wanted Everyone to Get Up and Dance
Sure, the song was fine. But this couple was way more entertaining.
2 – Private Eyes
It should be no surprise to that couple that we could see their every move. After all, THIS is one of the band’s biggest hits.
1 – Rich Girl
Narrowing it down to a #1 hit for this list was no easy task.
But, you know it don’t matter anyway.
The Daryl Hall & John Oates tour continues through October.
