Texas Tie-In: Writers Dave Franco and Alison Brie came to Austin to screen the feature and Spill the ATX was there!
Thoughts: I’ve heard people compare the film to My Best Friend’s Wedding. I personally did not get that vibe but I understand why that comparison is being made. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out where the storyline is going. But it’s a fun little ride and there’s some witty dialogue. Plus, the Annie/ Abed reunion is entertaining. When asked about that at the Austin screening, Franco mentioned that when they were filming scenes of the two together, he would just let the cameras roll. So, I’m sure unscripted moments ended up in the film.
